MANAGEMENT
E. Chris Gilbert II – Managing Partner
Chris began his career as a teenager assisting on some of his father’s job sites and worked his way through various aspects of the family business all the way through college. After graduating, Chris ventured on his own by purchasing residential mortgage notes while at the same time working for Governor George W. Bush’s re-election campaign in Austin, Texas. The campaign would eventually transform into a successful run for the White House prompting him to take a break in his real estate ventures to serve under the 43rd President of the United States. While in Washington D.C., he would go on to serve as a business and congressional liaison at the Department of Commerce under Secretary Donald L. Evans.
In 2008, leveraging over 70 years of family experience in this niche market space, Chris founded and continues to manage Bainbridge Investment Partners LP, an investment fund which specializes in the buying of residential mortgage notes at a discount. The success of Bainbridge Investment Partners led to the creation of a second fund – Bainbridge Investment Partners II, which Chris also manages.
Chris earned his B.A. degree in applied learning and development from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and an M.B.A. from Rice University in 2006. He and his wife, Dolce, currently reside in Houston.
